Yeats Again?

Just when we all applauded Yeats' final lap of honour after winning his historical fourth Gold Cup, we find out that one of his owners, John Magnier, wants to run him in the King George at Ascot in July and the Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in October.

Trainer Aiden O'Brien was definite that he hoped the eight-year-old horse would be retired to enjoy the rest of his life and pass on his 'freak' genes.

Most of the media agrees with O'Brien, but Yeats' running provides big marketing opportunities for the owners and two racing venues.

Frankly, I will be devastated if Yeats is embarrassed in either race.
