Zenyatta's BC Classic NTRA Winner
Sixty-eight percent of voters in the online poll conducted by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association overwhelmingly selected Zenyatta's Breeders' Cup Classic (Grade 1) victory over world-class males as the United States' racing "Moment of the Year".
Of the other 13 entries, Rachel Alexandra's victory over older male horses in the September 5 Woodward Stakes at Saratoga Racecourse gained 10% to finish a distant second just ahead of Mine That Bird's Kentucky Derby win at 9% of the vote.
