Kinsale King Stays In England For Darley July Cup
US trainer Carl O'Callaghan has entered Kinsale King USA (Yankee Victor USA) in the Darley July Cup on July 9 after placing third to Aiden O'Brien's Starspangledbanner AUS (Choisir AUS) in Royal Ascot's 6f Golden Jubilee Stakes.
The Darley July Cup at Newmarket is the third and final leg of the UK part of the Global Sprint Challenge.
Equiano FR (Acclamation) won the first and Starspangledbanner the second.
Fleeting Spirit IRE (Invincible Spirit IRE) who came fourth in the second leg, but first on the far side of the course, will meet the boys again.
She was unlucky as the lower numbers had the advantage.
O'Callaghan is determined not to let his horse's victor get a soft lead again so the Darley July Cup will be fiercely competitive with Kieren Fallon on KK.
