Breeders' Cup Bound
Racing International will arrive in Louisville, KY, on Wednesday November 3 to cover the 27th Annual Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs - home of the Kentucky Derby.
Europe has entered two former winners of the TVG Breeders' Cup Mile and Emirates Airlines Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.
Goldikova IRE (Anaaba USA), winner of 11 Group 1 races worldwide, will try for her third consecutive Mile victory before retiring to stud at five.
Olivier Peslier rides her and trainer Freddie Head said she is ready to win.
Midday (Oasis Dream) is going for her second consecutive BC F&M for trainer Henry R A Cecil and jockey Tom Queally.
Her owner, Prince Khalid of Juddmonte Farms, has entered her and his other homebred, Workforce (King's Best USA), in the BC Turf, 1-1/2m.
Workforce, winner of the Investec Derby and the Qatar Arc de Triomphe at the same distance, is favourite and will meet up with his French rival Behkabad (Cape Cross IRE) who is second favourite.
Sir Michael Stoute is sure his horse Workforce is ready to break his curse of losing every other race with Ryan Moore on board again.
Needless to say, Zenyatta (Street Cry IRE) is favourite to win her second Breeders' Cup.
Bob Baffert, trainer of second favourite, Lookin At Lucky USA (Smart Strike CAN) said of Zenyatta: "She knows where the wires are. It's almost like a game to her. She's like a killer whale playing with the seals."
Ireland's official handicapper said "She's taking the mickey."
Her rider Mike Smith believes she is the greatest horse who has ever lived.
She is the face of the Breeders' Cup this year and rates a feature story on CBS' 60 Minutes.
Almost everyone, including her competitors' connections, want her to win her 20th consecutive race and her second Breeders' Cup Classic.
