Todd Pletcher Innocent

To offset the unpleasant gossip floating around regarding the filly, Life At Ten, who was taken ill in the Ladies' Classic, the On Call Veterinarian, Dr Larry Bramiage, issued a statement to the effect that the Todd Pletcher filly was seen by three vets before taking part in the race at the request of the trainer and jockey.

The vets found nothing wrong with her and she was allowed to race.

Pletcher later said he thought she had an allergic reaction to Lasix.

I might add that strenuous exercise will bring on an allergic attack in the right circumstances.
