British Champions Series Races In May
The QIPCO British Champions Series opened last weekend with record crowds at Newmarket for the 2000 Guineas and 1000 Guineas. Popular victors were Frankel and Blue Bunting respectively. (See Guineas 2011)
Three more races in the 35-race Series will be held in May.
The Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup is part of the Dante Festival at York on May 13. The Dante Festival opens May 11.
Newbury hosts the prestigious Lockinge Stakes on May 14 with Canford Cliffs, Dick Turpin and Twice over.
Haydock Park runs The Betfred Temple Stakes on May 21.
The series will end on October 15 at Ascot with five races.
